Looking for a room to hire? We have rooms in a variety of sizes, suitable for anything from small meetings, to community events.
As a part of our vision to “connect people to Jesus and one another,” it is important to use our buildings and resources in ways to show love to our community and city. WBC values the community groups that hire out rooms within the WBC building.
By hiring out rooms, we are able to offer our facilities to those in the community who need a space in which to meet, it allows us to connect with our local people and, financially, the income enables us to maintain our buildings and continue to provide good facilities to the community.
Our facilities
Hall
- Located alongside the car park
- Adjacent to the kitchen, joined by a serving hatch
- A big open space, with a seating capacity of around 100 people
- Often used for Luncheon Club, Pilates, community events and large meetings
- Hire includes use of up to 60 chairs and 8 large fold-out tables, shared use of car park and toilet facilities and heating in winter months
Sanctuary
- Located through the foyer in the main section of the building
- Includes use of the foyer and internal balcony section, if requested
- Our largest space, complete with up to 160 chairs
- Can be further extended for larger events into foyer by drawing back all internal windows along foyer/sanctuary wall
- Used regularly for our Sunday services
- Hire includes use of up to 160 chairs, shared use of car park and toilet facilities and heating in winter months
Lounge
- Located through the foyer to the back corner of the building
- A square, carpeted room with padded chairs and small low tables, with a seating capacity of around 30 people
- Use of piano included on request
- Often used for our Spring Chickens and Coffee Extra groups and medium-sized meetings
- Hire includes use of up to 30 chairs and 12 small tables, shared use of car park and toilet facilities and heating in winter months
Kitchen
- Located alongside the car park, between the hall and the main building
- Opposite the toilets and joined to the hall by a serving hatch
- We have a large, clean and well-equipped kitchen. Hirers must adhere strictly to our Hygiene and Food Safety Regulations and must leave the kitchen as clean and tidy as they found it
- It is expected that hire will be in conjunction with the hire of another room and includes the use of the equipment at the hirer's own risk
Small Rooms
- We have a pair of small rooms adjoining the hall, which can be used on request in conjunction with hire of the hall
- We have a sofa room, which is often used by our youth group and small meetings. It includes the use of a small table and sofas, seating up to 6 people (up to 2 more chairs can be added on request). Hire includes shared use of car park and toilet facilities and heating in winter months
- We have a small room upstairs, often used as a prayer room, which includes a small table and 6 woven/recliner chairs. Hire includes shared use of car park and toilet facilities and heating in winter months
